Soy Wax Melts With Pick n Melt | Review

Candles and melts are staple items in our household. From the summer scents of citrus to the unmistakable aromas of cinnamon and spice during winter, they are one of my personal little luxuries.

When Pick n Melt asked if I’d like to try one of their bundles, I happily obliged. Pick n Melt are a relatively new UK based brand. With an adorable sweetie theme going on (as you probably guessed from the name) these guys have an exciting selection of different scents to choose from. Whether you’re a sweet tooth like me or prefer more classic fragrances, they have it covered.

With it being the festive period, I opted for their Christmas bundle, containing beautiful melts such as Christmas Time, Frankincense & Myrhh, Robin Red Breast, Christmas Spice, Cocoa & Log Fire, Festive Tree, Mistletoe & Wine, Mulberry Spice, Spiced Apple and Sweet Myrhh & Tonka Bean.

The ceramic wax warmer arrived packaged safely inside a candy-striped box and the melts were wrapped in a quirky pick n mix style paper bag – all 240 of them! To be completely honest, I was initially dubious about the modest size of the melt packs. Most melts that I’ve used in the past have been significantly larger, so I wondered if these dainty cubes could match up.

I popped a pack (six) of the ‘Festive Tree’ melts into the warmer and waited. They had reduced to a warm liquid within around ten minutes of the tealight being lit. The room slowly began filling up with a subtle aroma of pine, spice and all things nice! The soy wax lasted for the entire evening and the scent had wafted through several rooms by the time the tealight had burnt out (around 4 hours)

The modern burner complimented our home decor perfectly and has since been used daily. I’m looking forward to purchasing some melts and candles (£8.99) for my bedroom soon, with my personal favourites being Chocolate & Almond, Marshmallow, Parma Violet, Shortbread and – given that I recently married a Welsh man – Welshcake!

The bundles and luxury candles also make the ideal gift for birthdays, Christmas stocking fillers, Secret Santa or even just as a lovely little treat for yourself (or me, if any of my friends and family are stuck for ideas *hint*) Pick n Melt also offer you the chance to join the party with a monthly subscription box. From just £8, this really is an absolute bargain!
